MY WORLD IN SPRING

Kivik

I love walking my dog along the sandy beaches at Kivik (Southeast of Sweden). This is a small idyllic fishing village, famous for its light and creative atmosphere. Many artists from all over Europe visit this place.

. . . . . .

  4. Wonderful shot of a beautiful place. I can see why artists visit there. If I was an artist, I'd want to paint the place you took that photograph.

I think the blog addresses may show up differently depending on where you are. When I click on the book mark to my blog it's .com and so is yours. But when I clicked on the link you left for mine with .se it went to my address that way too.

  28. These are beautiful pictures Randi. It must be a challenge living this far north on the globe and taking photographs and filtering out the bluish gray colouring on everything.

I am an american living in Göteborg these past 6 years. My wife (Swedish) and I were watching an episode of Grand Designs with Kevin McCloud who is the shows host over there in Great britain. They were explaining how to adjust the lighting in the camera to allow in more of the yellow light that brightens the photographs. England has the same gloomy lighting issues. I know, I use to live there as well.

I guess I should write more about nature issues of Sweden for the folks back home. Mostly my posts are of a science nature and not so much in traveling. Well one blog touches on that aspect of my life.

    Nice photos again

  29. Thank you Kevin, you have to visit Österlen. The light is so different here, compared with other places in Sweden. That´s the reason why so many artists are living here. This photo is taken with my iPhone. But I have bought an app - "Camera+". In my Eos camera I always prepare the camera for the result I want. That gives me much more control.
    Best regards/Randi
