HEM & VILLA MÄSSAN

VILKEN ÖVERRASKNING!

Jag hade två önskningar med mig, när jag åkte till mässan i Malmö.

En var att hitta vackra och friska julrosor och

det andra var, att få träffa Annika - Naturliga Ting.

Jag berättade i mitt inlägg HÄR om Claus Dalbys nya bok om julrosor.

Den boken är helt förförisk med ljuvliga julrosor från Gartneriet Spiren

i Danmark. Självklart bestämde jag mig för att besöka plantskolan i sommar.

Så döm om min förvåning, när jag plötsligt stod framför mannen, som tillsammans

med sin hustru Marianne Rostén, driver den här plantskolan.

Självklart passade jag på att köpa massor av julrosor och som

tur var hade jag sällskap av en ung stark man, som hjälpte mig bära hem skatterna.

Jag träffade också Annika och Eva Robild, som presenterade sin nyutkomna bok,

som jag förstås köpte. Jag har precis börjat läsa den och den är helt underbar

- med både vackra bilder och skön text.

Jenny Strandh´s installationer var som alltid helt fantastiska.

Tyvärr hade jag bara mobilkameran med mig.

WHEN WILL SPRING ARRIVE?

Igår när jag promenerade i Simrishamn, så kändes det faktiskt som om våren snart kommer. OK, visst låg det snö på marken, men solen sken från klarblå himmel och fåglarna sjöng ikapp. Det var helt vindstilla - tänk så tyst det blev och hela nästa vecka får vi äntligen plusgrader.

Nu kommer bästa tiden - att leta vårtecken!

Det är som att leta hemliga skatter. Man vet aldrig vad, som först ger sig till känna. Ännu så länge är det bara löken i köket, som har grott, men jag gläds åt det också - för det påminner mig om det som komma skall.

Visst är det en härlig tid.

Claus Dalby har varit en favorit hos mig sedan 2005, då han började

att medverka i Anne Just´s trädgårdsprogram. Man fick följa hans

arbete i den så vackert designade trädgården och hans arbete i

det underbara växthuset.

I mitten av mars har han nu äntligen planerat att börja blogga!

You must be tired of looking at a "sky and sea"

every time you visit my blog.

I live in the country and

everything here is white as snow.

I´m tired of taking white shots.

And the only colours here are the Sea and the Sky.

But I promise, as soon as sping arrive,

I will show you something else.

TESTA GAMLA FRÖER!

SÅ HÄR GÖR JAG

Innan jag kastar gamla fröer, så testar jag dem.

Många kan vara livsdugliga i 3-5 år.

Lägg 10 frön på en bit fuktad hushållspapper och rulla ihop den.

Glöm inte att markera dem, innan du lägger dem i en plastpåse,

som får ligga i rumstemperatur. Se till att de inte torkar!

Det tar från tre dagar till tre veckor, för att ett frö ska gro.

Du räknar hur många, som har grott och multiplicerar med 10, så får du procenten.

Färre groddar än fem, godkänner jag inte, utan beställer istället fler fröer.

Har man många fröer, så kan man förstås så mycket tätare än normalt.

Visst är det ett litet mirakel,

att se ett litet grönt blad sticka ut ur ett frö

och plötsligt inse att en liten botanisk baby är född?

NEW PLANS FOR SPRING

CANNES SHOPPING

This has always been my favorite shopping street.

I do most of my shopping here, because it´s so convenient.

I always find what I´m looking for

and I don´t need to spend too much time on shopping.

The shops in Cannes are concentrated between La Croisette

and Rue d`Antibes. All designer shops are easily covered by foot.

Den här gatan har varit min favorit-shopping gata i mer än 30 år.

Här hittar man allt inom promenadavstånd.

Gatan är nyrenoverad och har blivit mer elegant.

SNOWSTORM HAS PASSED...

AND LEFT A WINTER WONDERLAND

I would love to go out and take some photos,

but that´s not possible yet.

I have to wait that the snow trucks have cleared the roads.

Jag skulle så gärna vilja gå ut och fota,

men jag kommer ju inte ut.

The weather service website has crashed through traffic being to high.

The catamaran ferry is cancelled due to high waves.

Trains and buses are cancelled due to snow chaos.

"Our" road is closed due to strong wind-driven snow and severe drifting.

The feeling of isolation increases.

I´ll make the best of it -

I´ll spend this evening together with a book,

which has been waiting much too long for me.

And by this time tomorrow, everything will be over!!!

Snow chaos shuts transport service.

Trains and buses have been cancelled.

Roads have been closed.

SPOTTED BEAUTY

Today I feel the need to post a warm and cheerful photo.

The weather has been really tough lately.

Snow and ice conditions make life difficult here.

Train and buses have been cancelled, roads have been closed,

lots of car accidents have been reported.

Yesterday when I visited the harbour of Kåseberga

one of the fishing boats had sunk during the night.

The pressure of the ice made a big whole on her port side.

I really hope she will soon recover!
