NATURE SHOWS ITS STRENGTH

Ystad, South of Sweden

This winter has showed
that Mother Nature still is in control,
despite our modern technology and
the snow removal equipments.

I relax in front of the fireplace with a cup of tea
behind all new seed catalogues
and dream of spring and summer.

. . . . .

Vintern började tidigt i år. Vi blev insnöade i två veckor.
Sedan stängdes vägar p.g.a. att många långtradare

What are your best seed catalogues for winter dreaming?

  1. Underbart vackert foto.

  2. That's a stunning and very strong shot. So much beauty in the winter. I love seed catalogues but don't have a favorite since I don't order much any more. There are still a lot of places that send them to me because I used to order so much and even though I'm not buying, it's fun to look through them. I recently got one for kitchen gardens and habitat gardens which I enjoyed. I was pleased to see most of the recommended plants for butterflies and song birds were ones that are so established in my garden they come back every year from my letting them go to seed in the fall.

  3. Nydelig bilde.

  9. That is a serious winter you have there. Gorgeous photo, however.
I haven't received any seed catalogues yet, although my friends in British Columbia have. Maybe I've been taken off the list because I only dream, never buy.
My favorite is a catalogue full of seeds for medicinal herbs. There are SO many herbs that are said to do wonderful things, so it's great for dreaming. It's a Canadian catalogue, from Richter's in Ontario.

Men vackert.

  26. Hi Randi, you are so right saying, Mother nature is still very much in control, looking at the devastation of the flood in Queensland.
Your picture is very beautiful, I remember Lac Leman like this in 56/57, a long time ago when I was in Rolle learning French, La bise was terrible, so cold!
