TODAY´S FLOWER

Helleborus Niger
"Christmas Rose"

The legend tells that this flower sprouted in the snow
from the tears of a little girl because she didn´t have
a gift for the Christ child in Betlehem.

  5. Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I am even more amazed about the rose - so delicate and looks so lovely in the snow. I hope they make it through the snow! I pictured it is being pretty cold in Sweeden in the winter, that's why I did not picture such a pretty flower still flowering. All my flowers are gone :-(

  33. Hi Randi, I am back again! I did a little more investiation on this flower, and someone told me it was poisonous, like poisen ivy. I.e. if you touch it with your hands your skin has a bad reaction. Have you noticed this to be a problem?
