LATE IN THE EVENING

You must be tired of looking at a "sky and sea"

every time you visit my blog.

I live in the country and

everything here is white as snow.

I´m tired of taking white shots.

And the only colours here are the Sea and the Sky.

But I promise, as soon as sping arrive,

I will show you something else.

TESTA GAMLA FRÖER!

SÅ HÄR GÖR JAG

Innan jag kastar gamla fröer, så testar jag dem.

Många kan vara livsdugliga i 3-5 år.

Lägg 10 frön på en bit fuktad hushållspapper och rulla ihop den.

Glöm inte att markera dem, innan du lägger dem i en plastpåse,

som får ligga i rumstemperatur. Se till att de inte torkar!

Det tar från tre dagar till tre veckor, för att ett frö ska gro.

Du räknar hur många, som har grott och multiplicerar med 10, så får du procenten.

Färre groddar än fem, godkänner jag inte, utan beställer istället fler fröer.

Har man många fröer, så kan man förstås så mycket tätare än normalt.

Visst är det ett litet mirakel,

att se ett litet grönt blad sticka ut ur ett frö

och plötsligt inse att en liten botanisk baby är född?

NEW PLANS FOR SPRING

This place is the reason why I wanted to move here.

THIS TIME LAST YEAR

Last year - no snow - grass was green -

springflowers were on the way.

This year - spring will arrive one month later.

I really try to think positive!

- This gives me time to recreate

my gardening plans...once more.

I´m tired of snow and ice.

I ´ve had enough of snowstorms

but a new one is on it´s way from Bornholm!

This means that I have chosen to post

a photo from lasts summer.

I dream of green grass, leaves on the trees,

and the smell of spring flowers.

Nu får det vara nog!

Jag är så trött på snö, hårda vindar,

CANNES SHOPPING

Rue d`Antibes

Cannes, South of France

This has always been my favorite shopping street.

I do most of my shopping here, because it´s so convenient.

I always find what I´m looking for

and I don´t need to spend too much time on shopping.

The shops in Cannes are concentrated between La Croisette

and Rue d`Antibes. All designer shops are easily covered by foot.

Den här gatan har varit min favorit-shopping gata i mer än 30 år.

Här hittar man allt inom promenadavstånd.

Gatan är nyrenoverad och har blivit mer elegant.

SNOWSTORM HAS PASSED...

AND LEFT A WINTER WONDERLAND

I would love to go out and take some photos,

but that´s not possible yet.

I have to wait that the snow trucks have cleared the roads.

Jag skulle så gärna vilja gå ut och fota,

men jag kommer ju inte ut.

Får vänta till snön plogats bort från vägarna.

SNOWSTORM IS HERE!

The weather service website has crashed through traffic being to high.

The catamaran ferry is cancelled due to high waves.

Trains and buses are cancelled due to snow chaos.

"Our" road is closed due to strong wind-driven snow and severe drifting.

The feeling of isolation increases.

I´ll make the best of it -

I´ll spend this evening together with a book,

which has been waiting much too long for me.

And by this time tomorrow, everything will be over!!!

THIS IS THE WORST WINTER IN 70 YEARS.

Snow chaos shuts transport service.

Trains and buses have been cancelled.

Roads have been closed.

It´s not over yet - more snow is on the way.
